About

Hotel Floris Arlequin Grand-Place

Hotel Floris Arlequin Grand-Place sits on Rue De La Fourche, in the historic heart of Brussels. The location puts most city sights within walking distance: Grand-Place is a short stroll away, and the area around the hotel is dense with restaurants, shops, and the famous Delirium brewery. The central station is close for airport trains, and the metro is nearby.

With 92 rooms, this is a mid-size hotel that aims for efficiency rather than luxury. Rooms are functional, equipped with air conditioning and heating, and come in a range of sizes from single to quadruple. The top-floor breakfast room has views over the old town, and there is a bar and lounge area for downtime. Guests also have access to a fitness centre and business facilities.

In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

5 reasons to book
  • Location is unbeatable for sightseeing — The hotel sits a short walk from Grand-Place, with the Raymond Leblanc Foundation about 5 minutes away. Delirium brewery, central station, and several neighbourhoods are all within walking distance.
  • Panoramic breakfast and dining — Breakfast is served in a top-floor restaurant with views over the old town and town hall. Guests can make waffles, and there's a varied spread of cold meats, cheeses, fruit, and pastries.
  • Practical rooms with comfort touches — Rooms come with air conditioning, heating, and a safe. Many include a coffee machine, and tea/coffee facilities with an electric kettle are provided. Beds are generally described as comfortable.
  • Friendly and accommodating staff — Guests consistently mention staff who are kind, helpful with local tips, and willing to accommodate requests such as quieter rooms or luggage storage.
  • Pet-friendly policy — Pets are allowed, making it a convenient choice for travellers with animals in the city centre.

Worth weighing

5 to weigh
  • Street noise and lively surroundings — Being in the historic centre means noise from the street and from neighbouring rooms can be noticeable. Even courtyard-facing rooms may still pick up some sound.
  • Area atmosphere may feel intense — The immediate area is vibrant but can feel crowded, with many people around in the evenings. This may not suit everyone, though no security issues were reported.
  • Cleanliness is adequate, not exceptional — While rooms are generally functional, one review noted humidity on a wall. Cleanliness is described as acceptable rather than outstanding.
  • No on-site parking mentioned — Given the central location, those arriving by car will need to find public parking, which is not detailed in the hotel's information.
  • Price reflects premium location — With the room price starting around £762 per night, the cost is high for a 3-star hotel, likely reflecting the prime central address rather than the room facilities.

“The bathroom was newly refurbished and very comfortable, with a hairdryer, gel, and two-in-one wall shampoo. The room was a normal size with carpet and one wall showing signs of humidity. In September, there were mosquitoes. The bed was very comfortable and quite large, about 1.60m. Breakfast offered a nice view, with waffles, toast, croissants, fruit, yoghurts, cold cheese, and ham. The location is excellent, next to Grand-Place and Delirium. The receptionists understood some Spanish and tried to speak it.”

“The room was a good size and functional, and the view of the old town was exceptional. The location in a lively area was good, with a shopping street and an old market nearby. We had lunch at Bia Mara, trying their fast food options.”

“Very close to everything you need to see in a few days. The breakfast was abundant and varied, with different cheeses, breads, jams, vegetables, juices, pickles, and more. The receptionist was friendly and gave us tips on what to visit, and was kind when we left. They held our bags and offered a hygienic service since we had checked out early. The room had complimentary tea and coffee plus a kettle.”

“The best thing about this hotel is its location, perfect for exploring central Brussels and even walking to other areas like Sablon, Quartier Européen, and Sainte-Catherine. It's also close to Centraal Station (for the airport train) and metro. Bed and pillows are comfortable. Staff are friendly. Cleanliness is acceptable, fair.”

“Location.”

“The hotel is in the historic centre, picturesque but noisy. There's a café on the top floor overlooking the town hall. Close to the central railway station. I was impressed by the water pressure in the shower and the presence of two chairs rather than one, which I often miss in double rooms. The staff accommodated my request for a quieter room (overlooking the courtyard), but street noise was still strong, and you could hear from neighbouring rooms.”
